#130 - “Sundance” - 130 Sundance is a past national champion Chris Craft and well known as the fastest hull in Chicago - so much so that in the early 80's, after original owner, who was an engineering professor at Northwestern University, rebuilt her after an accident, the fleet commissioned a measurer from the east to fly out and prepare a report comparing 130 to two other local boats to determine if she were legal and to gain insight as to how her modifications made her so much faster. It was determined she was fleet legal and modifications made became a model for fleet-wide work ever since. Sundance is particularly capable in heavy air.
130 Sundance has been raced competitively through the 2024 season without missing - and winning dozens of fleet championships. She has only sailed in fresh water.
Located in Chicago, IL.
